As a full-time professor, I truly love teaching and training the next generation of psychologists. That commitment to lifelong learning has me constantly revisiting how therapy works, how I work as a therapist, and how I can better show up for and serve my clients. As a Board Certified Counseling Psychologist (ABPP), I take my professional identity and commitment to clinical excellence very seriously, and I’ve been active in leadership roles in many professional organizations since graduate school.
I have enjoyed working both short-term and long-term with a diverse array of clients for over two decades. I have a particular expertise in working with Women in STEM: I’ve co-authored several book chapters and been involved in long-term research on career, identity, and work-life interface.
I’m an East Coast native who’s moved around a lot, spent much of my professional life in the Midwest, and is delighted to be calling California home for the third time (this time for keeps!). I’m a nature and animal lover, a lifelong nerd (before it was cool!), and I will undoubtedly share relevant book/article/podcast resources with you because I can’t help myself.
If you'd like more of a sense of the type of academic and training work I've done, I have a link below to publications and presentations.
